Promising to be the best yet, the halls really will be decked with boughs of holly, tinsel and Christmas trees as the main hall and dining room will undergo magical transformations into festive grottos.

Among the many items on sale will be edible treats, games, clothes, DVDs and stalls selling crafts, jewellery, confectionary and fashion from local retailers.

Groups of senior and prep school pupils will be organising their own stalls - as will the parents, ensuring a veritable treasure trove of things to do, buy and see for all age groups.

The school's music department will provide the musical entertainment and of course there will be an abundance of festive food and drink to keep everyone plentifully supplied.
