Business Studies & Economics

We offer Business Studies and Economics at AS and A Level – a highly interesting and topical area of study that links well with a wide range of other subjects including art and design, food and nutrition, history, languages, physics and engineering.

Spiritual, moral, ethical, social, cultural and contemporary issues are considered in the context of the real world and students gain valuable experience in presenting, discussing and evaluating ideas, concepts and arguments. Topics covered include objectives, risks and strategies, marketing, finance, human resource management, production and market influences.

To gain experience of starting their own business, Sixth Form students can also take part in the Young Enterprise scheme.
