14-year-old performer Hollie is no stranger to the stage and screen – last year alone she starred in a campaign for Disney and swept the honours board at the UK Street Dance South East Championships. All this and she put on a series of glittering numbers at the school’s Dance Show LIVE!

Now she will be taking to stage with the British Youth Music Theatre Company having been selected from the nation’s top young performers to star in a brand-new piece called Extinction.

The selection process was gruelling with 1700 children from across the UK vying for just 150 places with the company. The auditions took over 3 hours to complete and involved solo singing, a monologue and a group dance piece.

It’s the second time Hollie will be performing with the company having been selected to perform in their production of No Man’s Land last summer.

She is now excitedly looking forward to the production which is set to take place on 10th August in Rhoda Magaw Theatre.

There’s no let-up of the pace for the young star who has also landed the lead role in Orpheus – the Greatest Showman with The MJUK Theatre Company working in conjunction with the Chris Treglown Foundation. The curtain is set to rise on the 30th and 31st August.

A real team player, Hollie can often be found in the school’s performing arts centre leading rehearsals and practising for starring roles in student productions. She also performs at prestigious events all around the county as part of the school’s Chamber Choir.
