It was the first time the sisters have been in competitive action in person since the start of the pandemic and they did their country proud!
Competing against girls and boys up to two years older than them in their respective categories, both girls performed well in the Triathle – a combined running, swimming and shooting race.
A strong final swim by Romilly saw her overtake three boys to finish in 9th place. Not to be outdone, her younger sister Cordie also held onto 9th position with a determined final run.
In the Olympic sport of Laser Run, the girls faced much tougher opposition from strong Latvian, Hungarian and Spanish teams who made their age advantage count but both girls nonetheless earned themselves Top 15 places.
Laser run is a fast-paced urban sport that combines the final two legs of the modern pentathlon – shooting and running.
