On 6 April, our school community joined together in celebration as we remembered our Founder, Bishop Edward Benson, and launched our new alumnae platform The Foundation, at our annual Founder’s Day Service held at Truro Cathedral.

The service included performances from the Chamber Choir, a vocal solo from Year 9 Gwener and a Guzheng solo by Year 12 Muse, as well as an introductory performance by Prep 6 Verity. Readings and prayers were delivered beautifully by Head Girl Meenakshi, Year 11s Anisha and Jemma, and Year 12 Daisy.

Our guest of honour was positive psychology coach Faye Edwardes and worship was led by the Very Reverend Roger Bush.

It was our first Founder’s Day back in the Cathedral after a two-year enforced break, and Headmistress Sarah Matthews said: “It was wonderful to see parents, governors, alumnae, staff and pupils all back together again celebrating the school.”

During the service, we were also delighted to officially launch The Foundation, a new place for alumnae, parents and friends of The High School to catch up with each other, discover and support the many fantastic things taking place in our community, both in and out of school.

To read about why we are launching the Foundation and what we are aiming to achieve, please click through and have a look at our brochure.

If you would like to join us please head over to https://foundation.trurohigh.co.uk/ and follow the simple instructions to become part of The Foundation. We look forward to seeing you there!
