Welcome to Truro High Early Years
For girls aged 3 & 4Whether they are exploring the school grounds in their weekly Outdoor Learning sessions, learning the basics of robotics in the engineering workshop or perfecting their moves in the dance studio, we introduce the girls to a wonderful world of exciting possibilities and watch as the enthusiasm spreads across their faces. Learning here really is a journey.
Each and every one of our girls is completely unique and brimming with enthusiasm to get started on her learning journey. That is why we believe it is crucially important that every moment of their Early Years education should be full of magic and excitement that creates academic curiosity, sparks interest, develops young minds and engenders a love for learning that can never be quashed!
Quite simply our girls LOVE coming to school. They leave each day proud of their achievements and with so much to tell their families! We open up the World for them and broaden their horizons on a daily basis… from Global Fair-Trade policy to Ocean Plastic and from the Inventions of Richard Trevithick to Space Launches from Newquay.

Some children may be able to recognise their own name when they enter the EYFS, some may recognise a few letters and be counting with confidence but by the end of the EYFS all of the girls will:
- Be reading and writing on a daily basis
- Be recognising and ordering numbers up to 100 with understanding of Mathematical concepts
- Be drawing and painting creatively
- Have had a whole year of Music lessons, basic French, Knowledge and Understanding of the World and crucial lessons in Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
