It was all part of the top girls school’s first ever Car and Bike Show which saw its grounds packed with classic vehicles, shined and buffed to perfection.

Organiser and Head of STEM, Mr Jon Dean said: “It’s the first time we have staged this event and it marked the start of Cornwall’s Motorsports month so it was fantastic to have so many excellent cars and bikes joining us to celebrate. Our girls have a real passion for motorsports and this was a great opportunity for them see first class engineering for themselves.”

Car lovers and bike buffs had the chance to take a closer look at a huge number of British and American classics as well as sports and super cars from manufacturers including Lotus, Ferrari, Aston Martin, McLaren, Porsche and many more. A fleet of beloved motorbikes also made a pit stop at the school for the day.

There was even the chance to take a look at the future of automobiles with a number of electric cars in attendance as well as the chance to test drive vehicles from the school’s 8-strong, solar powered Greenpower race fleet.

Keeping visitors well-fed and watered with some of the region’s most delectable delights was the Best of the West Cornish Produce Market run by Hospitality Table Cornwall. With stalls selling everything from designer doughnuts to mouth-watering pulled pork tower burgers and a taste of the Caribbean, there was no shortage of delicious things to taste and buy.

Plans are already in motion for next year’s event which the school hopes will attract even more vehicles and visitors.
