Against hundreds of entries that had come top in their local heats, Prep 6 Lavender earned bronze in the countywide competition.

The competition was open to all schoolchildren in Cornwall and challenged budding young writers to pen a piece inspired by the theme of connections.

THS was extremely well represented in the Truro round of the competition with seven girls scooping top spots for their creative writing.

First prize went to Lavender, silver to Prep 4 Erin and bronze to Prep 6 Daisy-Grace.

Highly commended prizes went to Prep 6 Freya, Prep 6 Elsie, Prep 4 Romilly and Prep 4 Ava.
