Mrs Jo Norriss is our Registrar and will be on hand throughout the Admissions Process to answer any questions you may have – no matter how big or small.
If you decide that you would like to apply for a place at the school, you need to complete an application form. This should be returned together with the £100 non-refundable registration fee.
Interview with our Headmistress and entrance assessments
Our Headmistress will personally interview your daughter in order to get to know her better and find about her passions.
She will be required to sit entrance assessments for entry at any stage from Year 7 to 10. Please note that entry at Year 11 is rarely possible. These will include Mathematics and Literacy papers. Please note that scholarships (Academic, Music, Sport, Art and Drama) are available for entry to Year 9 but can, on occasion, be offered for entry to Years 8 and 10 as well.
Application to Sixth Form
If your daughter is wishing to enter the Sixth Form, we generally require 7 passes at GCSE (grade C or higher or equivalent) with at least a grade B (preferably A or A*) in those subjects the candidate wishes to study at A Level. Entrance assessments will include exam papers in Mathematics, Literacy and a third in a subject your daughter wishes to study at A Level.
Scholarships are available for entry to the Sixth Form. These are assessed in November of Year 11 via examination papers and auditions/assessments as applicable.
Offer of a place
If your daughter’s application is successful and you accept our verbal offer of a place, you will then be sent two copies of the Form of Acceptance together with a contract. You will need to sign and return one copy of the Form of Acceptance together with a deposit in order to secure the place. Deposits are £1000 for EU overseas students or £5000 for students from the rest of the world.
This deposit is refunded when your daughter leaves the school – provided that our Headmistress has received one full term’s notice in writing of your intention to withdraw your daughter. It is not refundable should your daughter not join the school in the first place.
You will then receive a joining pack containing information forms (medical, school uniform, term dates etc), which you will need to complete and return before your daughter joins the school.
