There were celebrations this week as our young actresses' LAMDA results finally dropped through the letterbox revealing the best crop of grades for many years.

100% of those taking the exam achieved a pass – with a record-breaking 93% of students attaining Distinction and 7% achieving Merit.

Special mentions go to Year 11 Jasmine who, as the school’s first ever Musical Theatre student, achieved Grade 5 with 91/100 and Year 13 Lowena who earned her Grade 8 Shakespeare with 93/100.

LAMDA teacher, Ms Jacqui Riordan said: “I’m incredibly proud of our LAMDA students who work so hard to create polished, dynamic performances with energy, nuance and flair.  Most impressive on the exam reports this year are scores which clearly reflect not only vocal control, but vocal colour with a sense of spontaneity.  Movement, posture, stance and gesture are refined to create clever performances at all grade levels. Having worked hard throughout the year, our girls have been deservedly rewarded with brilliant scores.”

The LAMDA provision continues to grow across the school and Musical Theatre was added to the offering this year.
