Sage has been a part of the THS family since the age of 9-years-old and is incredibly excited to now have the opportunity to offer her years of experience to girls of all ages in the role of Head Girl.

Sage said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who voted for me. I was touched to hear the news and I feel both honoured and excited to represent you and the school to the best of my ability.”

Sage studies Art, English, History and Geography at A Level and is an extremely active member of the THS family. She has been elected as Form Captain for four consecutive years and has also been hockey and netball captain on a number of school teams.

Outside of school, she is currently training for the Gig Rowing World Championships and, last summer, independently travelled to Botswana to volunteer on a conservation project. A real team player, Sage also teaches our Pre-Prep girls languages every week in addition to their lessons with our senior school language teachers.

The 17-year-old is passionate about art and has been successful in regional competitions, as well as having her work exhibited in Porthmeor Gallery. She currently sells her paintings and professional giclée prints of her work.

She said: “I know you all miss seeing your friends and this is a challenging time for us, however I am looking forward to leading our community in new ways to unite and make us stronger moving forward.”

Sage already has plans in motion for a number of initiatives this term including starting online school council meetings and a project to focus on student wellbeing during these turbulent times.

Voting for our Deputy Head Girls is set to commence shortly with the results to be announced next week.
