Truro High School for Girls has raised over £5600 for its partner school in Cambodia as a result of a fundraising Colour Run held last month.

The school supports Brasat Primary through the UK-based charity, Edukid.

The funds the school has raised will allow Brasat to educate 26 girls and 18 boys for the year as well as develop the resources the school has. Edukid has been able to employ a teacher for the children, as well as build a small classroom, which allows shelter for students in the rainy season.

Fewer than half of all children are able to finish primary school in Cambodia and Truro High’s students raise money every year to ensure that’s not the case at the school they work with.

Students currently in Years 10, 11, and 12 will have the chance in October 2022 to travel out to Cambodia and see the difference they are making at Brasat Primary.
