This week Truro High School brought together around 100 passionate educators from Truro High and across Cornwall, for our ground-breaking AI in Education Conference - the first to take place of its kind in Cornwall.

Delving into the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of education, attendees shared their insights, and explored the innovative ways to adopt the rapidly developing technology into their curriculum.

Keynote speakers Dan Fitzpatrick (the AI Educator) and Professor Rose Luckin, from University College London, shed light on how educators can integrate diverse AI tools to enhance current teaching methodologies, as well as providing a forward-thinking perspective in how AI can help foster critical thinking and creativity among students in Prep School, Senior School and beyond.

Local speakers Wo King, Kayley Lawry and Janet Weigold, helped to expand our educators thinking beyond the classroom, supplying an insight into how AI is changing services right here in Cornwall.

The conference not only showcased the expertise of these esteemed speakers but also fostered a collaborative atmosphere, encouraging teachers to discuss their hesitations on AI, and exchange ideas and best practices for implementing technological tools in diverse educational settings. The day’s events helped to deepen our attendees understanding of the vast possibilities of artificial intelligence, sparking a collective enthusiasm for further experimentation in the intersection of technology and education.

We are committed to staying at the forefront of educational innovation in Cornwall throughout this rapidly changing technological world, and that was truly evident throughout the conference. We look forward to the continued evolution of AI in education and its positive impact on shaping the future of learning.
