As well as taking home gold medals for their performances in the Cornwall Schools Championships, Year 9 Kiera and Year 10 Evie’s distances qualified them to compete at this regional level of competition.

It was an especially busy day for Evie who also took home gold in discus.

This weekend the girls headed to Exeter where they competed alongside nearly 150 of the region’s top athletes.

Their winning streak certainly continued and the girls finished amongst the top 10 athletes in the region for their age group. Kiera placed 5th in her age group whilst Evie placed 9th.

Their fellow pupils were also on top form at the Cornwall Championships. Year 10 Jess took home gold and silver in the hurdles and 200m, Year 10 Catherine P-H won the long jump, Year 8 Nia placed 8th in the 1500m and Year 8 Jennifer placed 4th in both the 800m and 200m.
