The team includes Prep 5 Naomi, Prep 6 Matilda, Prep 6 Anna, Prep 6 Lilly and Prep 6 Ysella.

The competition involves hundreds of the region’s top young swimmers and, if the girls impress, they have the chance to compete at the national finals in Sheffield this June.

All five swimmers currently take part in early morning training with Cornwall’s top swimming coaches as part of the Truro High swim squad.

In preparation for the championships, they have also been taking part in dedicated lunchtime training sessions with Head Coach, Lee Stanbury. Lee is Head of the Cornish Swim Academy. He is a national Age group finalist and finished 3rd in the European Masters Championship.
