The 17-year-old received the offer based on the strength of her portfolio alone.

The institution has been voted one of the top six creative universities in the UK in the Which? University Student Survey. Its Interior Design graduates have exceptional careers prospects with 94% in work or doing further study six months after finishing.

Daisy said: “It’s the perfect course for me. I study Art, Maths and Biology and Interior Design combines all the things I like about those subjects into a career. Making a portfolio for a course like this has some quite specific differences compared to an art degree and my teachers have given me loads of support to get it just right. It was great to hear from my interviewers that they were impressed by the portfolio and thought it was something really different.”

Daisy is set to take a gap year after completing her A Level courses in Art, Maths and Biology. She hopes to take on a series of work placements and continue adding to her portfolio in preparation to start her course in September 2021.
