24 April 2009 / Easter Fun At Truro High School

As well as joining the Prep School preparing and performing in the annual Spring Concert last week, the Nursery pupils invited their parents to an Easter Tea on the last day of term. The boys and girls had made their own Easter bonnets decorated in brightly coloured tissue paper. The youngsters also gathered their parents together for egg rolling which took place on a slope in the school grounds - luckily the eggs were hard-boiled!

Gracie Edyvean was also at the Easter tea and had brought in her own chocolate egg nest creations. Gracie starts at the Nursery next term. She has been going to "settling in" sessions which her mum Hannah says she really enjoys.

"The sessions give Gracie an opportunity to become familiar with her new environment and meet the other children," she said. "In this way she'll adjust much more quickly when she starts next month."

Spring time activities organised by the Nursery also included a trip to Trelissick gardens and visiting newborn lambs at a nearby farm.

"Whether we take the children out and about in the minibus or use the school grounds, we are determined to provide opportunities for our children to explore the world about them." said Kate Roberts, Nursery Manager.
