Pitted against Cornwall’s top school teams, the team started off on a high by winning every match they played in the group stages. The girls played Camborne, Wadebridge, Truro School, Mount’s Bay, The Roseland and St Ives.

Winning every game by an average of 8 goals, a string of impressive performances took them all the way to the finals of this hotly-contested competition.

Their incredible success throughout the day means they will now progress to the competition’s regional finals in January to fight it out with the South West’s brightest and best netball players.

There was no rest for our sportswomen who, following their runaway victory, then immediately headed back to school to perform in the final dazzling instalment of Dance Show LIVE!

The team consisted of Year 9s Molly, Tillunah-Belle, Milly, Lilly, Scarlett and Jennifer alongside Year 8s Sienna, Emma, Ella and Melissa.

It’s an exciting time for the school’s sportswomen who last month celebrated being crowned the under 16 Tier 3 South West Regional hockey champions. The trophy was the latest addition to Truro High’s growing collection of accolades which also includes seven hockey and two netball county champion titles.
