Team coaches, Ms Kat Redd and Mr Tom Elliott were hugely impressed by their hard work and ability to take on board their advice and tactics. They drew with 1-1 with the tournament’s hosts Richard Lander and then proceeded to storm to victory winning 2-0 against Penryn College, 1-0 against Truro School, 5-0 against Mount’s Bay and 4-0 against Redruth.

The team included Year 8 Matilda, Year 9 Freya, Year 9 Maddie, Year 9 Jess, Year 9 Skye, Year 9 Lily, Year 8 Ysella, Year 8 Lily, Year 8 Lavender, Year 8 Phoebe, Year 8 Freya and Year 9 Josephine.

Ms Redd said: “The girls played brilliantly and progressed really well throughout the day. Their positive attitude and professionalism were exemplary and hugely contributed to them winning the overall title. They listened to everything we had to say and all our advice was followed through with the girls performing their roles perfectly.”

The team will now represent Cornwall at the tournament’s regional finals held at Millfield on Thursday 11 November.
