The seven strong-cast from Falmouth-based theatre group Scruffy Mutt headed to the world-famous festival this August where they performed their age appropriate adaptation of the shocking production for a six day run at the Space UK theatre.

A once in a lifetime opportunity for these budding actresses, the girls have been rehearsing several times every week since Easter with the schedule intensifying as they edged closer and closer to curtain call.

Their hard work certainly paid dividends and following several standing ovations during the production’s run, the girls were overwhelmed to see reviewers singing their praises in print being described as “mesmerising, deeply impressive [and] an amazing piece of theatre”.

With such an incredible theatrical experience under their belts the future looks bright for the young actresses and whilst Izzy will be setting aside her greasepaint to focus on her GCSEs, Beth is already preparing for next year’s Fringe with her fellow Falmouth thespians.
