The High School has been Highly Commended in this year’s Muddy Stilettos Schools Awards. The school was listed among the very top in the UK in the Empowering Young Entrepreneurs category.

Up against more than 400 schools, our whole school programme of business education clearly impressed the judges. We embed enterprise at all levels of The High School, from financial literacy lessons to our Year 9 skills carousel, not to mention entrepreneurial opportunities such as Young Enterprise and the Trevean Café project.

Headmistress Sarah Matthews said, “It is absolutely fantastic that the Business and Enterprise opportunities we have developed across the whole school as part of our much broader Future Ready programme have been recognised in this way. We are proud of the tradition of entrepreneurial spirit in Cornwall and we certainly hope our girls will be strong contributors to the future in this field. The Trevean Café project is unprecedented and unique in offering the students of THS a genuine opportunity to build a full business from the ground up; we know the skills developed and knowledge acquired from such an enriching opportunity will give the girls all they need to ensure they could be phenomenal business leaders of the future.”
