A massive well done to our fabulous Prep School actresses, singers, dancers and backstage crew whose hard work and dedication has resulted in two extremely professional performances of ‘The Wind in the Willows’.

Our talented cast of actresses, aged from 7 to 11-years-old, was greeted with many rounds of applause performances from audiences.

The production showcased the burgeoning talent that the school has in a huge range of creative disciplines. Impeccable acting, singing and spoken choral verse were all on show and dance numbers ranged from the Charleston to tap. Two Prep 5 pupils even ran the professional sound and lighting board.

A real team effort, the set and many of the costumes were created by a group of Year 13 students who kindly offered their time in the school’s art studios to help bring Kenneth Graham’s riverbank world to life.

Head of Prep, Mrs Katie Hinks said: “The girls were magnificent! They have learnt so many songs, lines and choreography and they were absolutely incredible. I would like to say a huge thank you to the dedicated teachers and older students who have given so much time and energy to help make the show possible and to the girls for giving us such wonderful evenings of entertainment.”

Our annual Prep School production involves every pupil from Prep 3 upwards and has speaking parts for every girl in Prep 6.
