You can always count on Truro High students for a “can-do” attitude and that spirit certainly wasn’t in short supply on Monday as girls of all ages sprinted, threw, hopped, skipped and jumped their way to victory at our annual Whole School Sports Day.

Whilst torrential run cut short the proceedings, students, teachers and parents spent a fantastic morning cheering each other on in everything from sprints to javelin and from welly throwing to rounders.

The Great Race proved an exciting new addition to the event and saw students taking on challenges as a team including kayaking across the school pool, sprinting around the school grounds and solving puzzles on the Astroturf.

The atmosphere was wonderful – a fantastic reminder that sport is for everyone here at Truro High and is as much about having fun with your friends as achieving incredible things.
