Competition was fierce with over 700 applicants vying for just 40 places, 20 of which were for the extended diploma course which Georgina applied to. 
 
The Year 11 student earned the highest number of marks on the audition day and impressed the panel so much that she has been offered a scholarship to attend the academy.
 
Italia Conti is the world’s oldest performing arts training school and is one of the most recognised names in the industry. 
 
Its graduates can be seen on stage and screen all around the world. This includes film stars, some of the UK’s top recording artists and actors leading productions on the West End and Broadway. Stars who have trained at the academy include Noel Coward, Pixie Lott, Naomi Campbell, Karen Gillan, Newton Faulkner and Nadia Sawalha.
 
As part of the course, Georgina will regularly work with directors, choreographers and industry professionals. She will also have the opportunity to join the Italia Conti Agency and undertake professional work during her studies. 
 
It’s been a busy year for Georgina who, alongside her GCSE studies and acting commitments, is also part of the school’s under 16 national champion hockey team.
