We are delighted to announce the outstanding achievement of our Prep 6 Lego League team, who returned to Cornwall triumphant after securing 2nd place in the Core Values category at the FIRST Lego League UK National Finals!

After securing place in the regional competitions last term, where they showcased their ingenuity and teamwork, over the weekend the team – made up of Bella, Hattie, Isla, Olivia, Poppy, Sissi and Sophie – travelled all the way to Harrogate, going up against strong competition from 74 teams across the UK, spanning ages 9 to 16.

Although there were a couple of hiccups on the day of the event (including a broken robot arm!), the team persevered, utilising their HPL analysing and meta-thinking skills to successfully find a way through.

Prep 4 teacher, and Lego League Coach, Mrs Hendra said:

“I am so proud of how well the girls worked together, not only on the competition day itself, but throughout the season. They have become much stronger as a team, displaying the Lego League’s Core Values of Discovery, Inclusion, Impact, Innovation Teamwork and Fun!”
Our girls demonstrated exceptional teamwork, and a true commitment to the Lego League core values of inclusion, discovery, teamwork, innovation, impact and (most importantly) fun! Because of this, the Lego League judges awarded our girls 2nd place in the Core Values category, the second-most valued category after the overall trophy.
Their success is a testament to their dedication, creativity, hard work and preparation over the last few months. A huge thank you to our Prep 4 teacher, Mrs Hendra, for being an excellent Lego League coach, and for making the trip to Harrogate possible!

Congratulations team!
