Truro High sisters Lily and Kitty are celebrating having ranked 2nd overall in the RS Feva Winter Championships last weekend.

The competition was open to sailors from around the UK and saw 38 two-team boats tackle the extreme conditions.

The sisters earned 2nd place by a 10-point margin and were pipped at the post for 1st by just one point.

Their success follows an impressive outing at the Regional Junior Feva Championships which saw the sisters place 3rd in the whole of the South and South West of England and 1st in the South West.

Lily and Kitty are two of only 12 young sailors in the South West to be selected for the RYA South West Feva Regional Training Group. It’s the second time Lily and the third time Kitty have been selected for this prestigious squad.

The girls attend training sessions with world-class coaches as they prepare to compete at the national and world championships next year.
