Year 13 boarder Jodie is celebrating phenomenal success having earned the rare distinction of receiving three offers to read Medicine at world-leading international universities.

She has been offered places to read Medicine at the University of Hong Kong, University College Dublin and the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings have consistently ranked the University of Hong Kong’s medical school as one of the top 3 in Asia, University College Dublin ranks within the top 1% of higher education institutions worldwide and, according to The Centre for World University Rankings 2016, UCLan is in the top 3.7% of universities in the world.

Even more impressive, on average, for every ten students applying to study medicine at university, only one will be offered a place.

Jodie’s impressive application also resulted in an offer from the University of Manchester to study Biomedical Sciences. The university is No 1 in the UK for the impact of its research in the Times High Education World University Rankings.

A keen member of the school’s Aspiring Medics Programme, Jodie currently studies Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at A Level as she drives towards her ultimate goal of becoming a top international doctor.
