The championships saw more than over 500 of Cornwall’s brightest and best young swimmers vying for top spots.

The Truro High squad included Prep 3 Freya, Prep 5 Naomi, Prep 5 Florence, Prep 6 Anna, Prep 6 Elise, Prep 6 Lily, Prep 6 Hermione, Prep 6 Ysella, Year 7 Imogen, Prep 7 Jessica and Year 8 Kitty (not pictured).

It was a particularly momentous day for Hermione who was crowned county champion in the under 11 board rescue and Kitty who earned two county champion titles for the under 13 tube rescue and medley relay.

There’s no rest for many of the girls who will be competing in the National Surf Lifesaving Pool Championships in Cardiff at the end of the month.
