Pitted against 12 primary schools, the girls proved themselves a force to be reckoned with finishing 2nd overall in the competition.
Their success means they will now fight it out for the county title at the cup finals this Friday.
It was a particularly momentous day for Prep 4 Romilly who shone on the pitch despite being 2 years younger than all the other players.
It’s an exciting time for Truro High’s Prep School footballers who last month made sporting history by becoming the first girls’ team to compete in the English Schools Football Association’s ‘Small Schools’ County 7-a-side Championships.
Team coach, Mr Peter Mothersole said: “The training sessions in the wind and rain, plus the galvanizing experience of playing in the equivalent boys’ tournament a few weeks ago, has really paid off. Well done, girls!”
