She said: “I am over the moon. All my hard work has paid off and now I get to go exactly where I wanted.”

Amy has already played for the England U18 squad, an honour reserved for only the top 3% of under 18 players in the UK, and now has her sights set on a place in the U21 training squad.

She says her move to Bath will be a massive boost: “Alongside my studies I will be able to access really high intensity training from coaches with direct links to the England squad which will enable me to fully focus on my Olympic dream.”

Amy currently trains with Falmouth Hockey Club for two days every week alongside her regional and national hockey commitments as she drives towards her ultimate ambition of representing Team GB at the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan.

To facilitate this rigorous schedule, she travels around 100 miles and spends up to 12 hours on the pitch every week. A real team player, she also participated in school fixtures and regularly supported the teaching staff during her 11 years at Truro High School. Amy is sponsored by Crown Hockey.
