Gabriella currently works for the NGO Survival International, the global movement for tribal peoples’ rights.

An Old Girl of the school, she studied Law and then Modern Languages at University of Cambridge where she was president of the Cambridge University Sixth Form Law Conference for aspiring lawyers.

In her year abroad to Chile, she interned with Amnesty International and undertook research concerning abuses committed against Mapuche Indians by the Chilean state. Following graduation, she taught languages and Latin American culture and literature classes at Westminster School for four years and completed Amnesty International’s Teacher Programme.

She then worked as volunteer journalist for an indigenous rights news platform before commencing work with Survival International.

There was a real buzz in the air when Gabriella gave our aspiring lawyers an insight into her work earlier this year so Speech day is sure to prove a truly inspiring affair as well.

The ceremony will take place on Thursday 4 July at 2.00pm.

Don’t forget to save the date and come along to celebrate the end of the school year with this special service in Truro Cathedral.

The service will be followed by a garden party back at school.
