Year 7 pupils Heidi and Georgina Skitt will be playing one of the animal kingdom’s most famous double acts in the Kidz R Us production: Bagheera and Baloo the Bear.
Rudyard Kipling wrote the book in 1894, and a new live action film hit cinemas in 2016 – but for most people, The Jungle Book will always be synonymous with the 1968 Walt Disney animation.
Heidi and Georgina will be leading many of the musical’s much-loved songs including ‘Bare Necessities’ and ‘I Wanna’ Be Like You’.
They will be taking centre stage in the award-winning youth theatre company’s Opening Night on Monday 30 May, Wednesday 1 June and Friday 3 June.
Experience this song-filled celebration of friendship, fun and adventure from May 30 – June 3 at 7.30pm. Performances will resume from the end of July right through to September for two nights every week alongside the company’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
