The seven window boxes, named ‘The Quay Box’ will showcase a mix of GCSE and A-Level Fashion and Design work from pupils at the school over the Christmas period.

Judith Tutin, Head of Art, said: “This is fantastic opportunity for the students on the fashion design course to take their work outside the school and display it to the general public. The location on Lemon Quay is such a prime spot, and with it being just down the road from the school it is a perfect opportunity for the girls to showcase their creativity.”

The School’s art and design department is renowned for its results with 100% of A level students passing this year and some going on to further their studies at top fashion colleges in London.

Stuart Wilkes, Project Manager at Midas Construction, said, “It has been great to see the progress and the journey of this project from the initial planning, to the installation of the boxes within the hoardings and then to the students coming down to install their work.

“As a local company it is fantastic that we have had the ability to utilise the prime location in Truro and the hoardings to display a selection of student work from local schools and universities. It gives them a great opportunity to get exposure for their work and it’s important for us as a company to continue to invest in the communities we work in.”
