“The whole journey through the school has made her the amazing and confident person she is. At every stage she was treated as an individual and as a result her confidence and natural abilities grew and her potential came shining through. We are so proud of her.”
Year 13 Parent, Summer 2023

It has been another fantastic year for our A Level students who leave our school strong, confident and ready for bright futures. 85% have headed off to their first-choice university with University of Oxford, Durham, Warwick, Manchester, Bath and Exeter among this year’s destinations.

Our leavers achieved a 100% pass rate and will be reading courses including Medicine, Politics, Modern Languages, Zoology, Fine Art and Musical Theatre.

Here are just a few of the things they and their parents said about us:

“It’s a great all-round supportive environment that’s ideal for girls to learn.”

“It’s been a fantastic experience for her. The sports are there, the support is there, the academic strength is there – it’s just so well-rounded and has been the perfect environment for her to develop and grow.”

“My daughter joining Truro High School for Girls was the best decision ever! As indecisive as the teenager she is, she switched her university course preference in the middle of year 12 and it was just amazing how the school rallied around her to help with a new portfolio and her personal statement. Looking at her A level results of all A’s today, she couldn’t have done it without the support of the school and the warm nurturing boarding staff. Thank you THS! You did this!”We also celebrated a pass rate of 100% A*/A among students collecting their EPQs, or Extended Project Qualifications. EPQs are taken alongside traditional A levels and require students to demonstrate the intellectual curiosity and independent research skills that are so highly prized by universities.
