Sixth Former Justine plans to traverse the three passes of Renjo La, Cho La and Kongma La towards Everest Base Camp all of which are in excess of 6,000 metres altitude.

The trek will take place over the course of three weeks during which Justine and her guide will push themselves to the limit in this ultimate test of strength, stamina and self-sufficiency.

Hoping to inspire younger pupils to never put a lid on their potential, Justine plans to video call the school during assembly when she reaches Everest Base Camp.

Justine said: “I’m really looking forward to seeing the view of Everest so close up – we’re only going to be one peak away so it should be amazing. I just can’t wait to get up there!”

This latest step in her journey towards a top military career follows an exciting summer for the young cadet which saw her heading across the Atlantic to be an instructor for the Canadian Army.

Justine was one of the elite few selected for this role having been named as the top UK Cadet during the Army Cadet International Exchange to Canada last year. She was one of 12 cadets whittled down from 90 to take part in this annual exchange.

This year has also seen her named the Lord Lieutenant’s Army Cadet of 2018. In this prestigious role as his adjutant, Justine attends all royal visits to the county alongside attending military parades and speaking at prestigious events throughout the year.

Justine continues to go from strength to strength in the Army Cadets Force as she drives towards her ultimate goal of training at Sandhurst to work in military intelligence.
