Accompanying The Princess Royal is the latest in Justine’s duties as the Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet of 2018 – the highest honour in the army cadets. In this role as his adjutant, Justine will attend all royal visits to the county alongside attending military parades and speaking at prestigious events throughout the year.

During her visit, Princess Anne left a lasting message at Truro Cathedral by signing one of the slates that will be used on the new roof. She also visited the home of an award winning Cornish blue cheese and one of the South West’s smallest and most successful Save the Children shops.

Justine is delighted to have been selected for this role which follows her being named as the top UK Cadet during the Army Cadet International Exchange to Canada last summer.

She was one of 12 cadets whittled down from 90 to take part in this annual exchange and the first in Cornwall to go on this trip of a lifetime in more than 12 years.

This position is awarded to only one UK cadet each year and means that Justine will be returning to Canada this summer as an instructor for the Expedition Instructor Group 2018.

Justine continues to go from strength to strength in the Army Cadets Force as she drives towards her ultimate goal of training at Sandhurst to work in military intelligence.
