Truro High School’s U13 hockey team claim county championship title once more

Truro High School’s roll-call of hockey county champions continues to grow this season as today the School’s players proudly headed home with the U13 Cornwall Championship shield once again.

The girls put in a sterling performance against the county’s top school teams throughout the tournament to claim this title. The semi-final saw a resounding 3-0 win against Mount’s Bay before the team sealed their victory with a 2-1 win in the finals against Truro School.

Even more impressive, the team won every match it played by an average of six goals.

The girls will now compete against the best of the South West at the tournament’s regional finals held at Millfield School in April.

The victory follows another impressive season on the pitch for the School which is home to six hockey county champion teams – one for every age group which competes at this level. Truro High’s U11s, U13s, U14s, U15s, U16s and U18s have all currently hold these prestigious titles.
