We are delighted that last week our U15 Hockey team returned victorious, having retained their U15 County Champion Trophy for a second year in a row!

Following the win of the round robin competition a fortnight ago, our U15 girls hockey team played Truro School in the Cornwall County Cup Final last week. Although our team was reduced to a bare minimum, with several girls needing to play up a year or two, we dominated the final match from the start!

Although Truro School held control during the first half of the game, as we were unable to convert pressure into goals, our girls did what they do best and stepped up to the challenge! The team came together, with grit and determination, exhibiting excellent play and teamwork throughout the match. Congratulations to Ysella who scored two individual goals, spurring the rest of the team on, as Romily (playing in goal) made two crucial saves! This was a turning point as, shortly after, Maddie scored the third goal which set up a comfortable last 5 minutes.

With the final whistle, Truro High School retained the County Championship trophy with a flattering 3 – 0 score.

Congratulations to our U15 Hockey County Champions!
