Overjoyed with her results yesterday, Iris will take her A*s in Classical Civilisation and English, an A in History and an A* EPQ with her to University College London where she will study History and Politics of the Americas.

Iris has her sights set on eventually working in Westminster and, alongside her studies, has undertaken work experience in Parliament, been closely involved with the British Youth Council and even remotely volunteered on a US senate campaign last summer.

A keen actress, Iris achieved a Distinction in LAMDA Acting Grade 8 this summer and this year completed the Gold Arts Award, which included writing and directing the school’s staff Christmas pantomime. She has even performed at the National Theatre during her time at Truro High!

Iris said: “I am just so glad I stayed for Sixth Form. It is such a supportive environment for learning and the small classes mean you get a lot of one to one time which really helped me.”
