The school is partnering with Wheal Buller Riding Stables in Redruth where sessions will run on Wednesday evenings from 3.45 – 7.00pm.

Sessions will include a one-hour group riding lesson and 30 minutes on stable management theory.

Students will also have the opportunity to gain an ‘ABRS Preliminary Horse Care and Riding Certificate’ at an extra cost of £10. A formal qualification in horse care is a definite advantage to anyone wanting to become professionally involved with horse riding or to demonstrate their ability to take responsibility in a professional environment.

Depending on numbers, the school aims to have one novice group with basic skills such as mount and dismount and a more advanced group where the rider is able to walk, trot and canter.

The weekly cost will be approximately £30 (to be confirmed with numbers) which includes transport, a one hour riding lesson and 30 minutes of stable management theory. Girls must commit to 5 weeks of next half of term at a cost of approximately £150. A session will not run on the last week of term.

If your daughter would like to get involved, please get in touch with by emailing vmather@trurohigh.co.uk. Spaces are limited and will be given on a first come first serve basis.
