In aid of Cornwall's heightened homelessness crisis, students rallied together, dedicating their time and baking skills to create delicious treats in support of St Petrocs.

At Truro High, our commitment to community engagement and social responsibility shines through our St Petrocs Baking Club, where students harness the power of sweet treats to spread joy and support those in need.  As homelessness reaches unprecedented levels this winter, our partnership with St Petrocs underscores our school’s dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

With volunteers from across the school coming together monthly, this week, dozens of lemon drizzle cakes were lovingly crafted, offering a ray of sweetness to individuals facing challenging circumstances.

St Petrocs was established in 1986 as a direct response to people sleeping rough in Truro. Over 35 years later, they’re still supporting people experiencing homelessness, now widening their influence and working towards the more substantial change that is necessary.

Through these little acts of kindness and generosity, our students embody the values of compassion and empathy, contributing to a brighter and more inclusive community for all.
