University destinations and A-Level results
A place where girls are empowered to be their authentic selves, we are extremely proud that our students consistently attain high standards academically in all disciplines. But it’s about more than just the lessons.
It’s been another phenomenal year for our A Level students with 90% now heading to the university of their choice.
St Andrews, Durham, Bath, Exeter and Manchester are among the destinations for students who will read subjects ranging from Civil Engineering to Law and from Medicine to Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Collecting their results, the girls were quick to praise their teachers saying they, coupled with the benefits of small class sizes and the girls only environment, had made all the difference.

“It has been an unforgettable seven years full of laughter and fun. I have so many happy memories, I have friends for life and I cannot praise the school enough for showing me all the opportunities open to me and then helping me to open the doors to them.”
“Truro High School has been unbelievably supportive in every aspect from nursery through to A Levels. She could not have done this without Truro High School and the staff and teachers have been by her side on every step of the way.”

Modern Languages open doors for students at Truro High with 70% of all passes at grades A*/A in 2024
We’re big believers in the power of communication and giving girls the tools they need to unlock the world’s diversity through language.
Hazel is currently at Bristol University reading Modern Languages having earned a clutch of top grades in 2024. She said:
“I cannot thank the school enough for all the support it has always given me. The teachers give so much of their time to mark extra essays, to provide extra help when I’ve needed it and it is because of them that I discovered my passion for Languages which has developed into the direction into which my life will now go.”

“Truro High School just ticks all the boxes when it comes to Sixth Form. The Aspiring Medics programme really helped her decide what she wanted to do. The academics at the school are obviously one thing that’s great but having the careers guidance, the detailed university knowledge and the support behind you is just fantastic.”

Lily is currently at Plymouth reading Medicine and on results day she was bursting with pride:
“I never thought I could do something like this. I never even knew I wanted to be a doctor until I started going to Aspiring Medics and it changed everything. It really helped me figure out what I want to do with my life and then, over the months, gave me a real insight into the many different opportunities that exist by introducing me to so many different healthcare professionals.”

She said: “For anyone interested in Healthcare professions it gives you a much broader understanding of all the different roles and aspects and that is so helpful when you come to apply to university and attend interviews. I just cannot believe I am going to university to read Medicine!”
