Our under 16 netball players are celebrating having been crowned Cornwall County Champions.

They won 15-5 against Wadebridge School, 12-5 against Truro School, 13-9 against Penair School, 10-2 against Penryn College, 10-4 against Richard Lander School, 16-4 against Budehaven Community School and drew 8-8 against Mount’s Bay Academy.

Team coach, Miss Danyelle Fry said: “It was a fantastic performance across the board. The girls had great trust and movement on the court, helping them to get into excellent positions and act quickly when making decisions under pressure. Their teamwork was exceptional and they all worked their hardest to support each other. I’m incredibly proud of them all.”

As a result of their success, the team will now fight it out against the best of the South West at the regional finals in Bournemouth.

Best of luck, girls!
