Our fundraising colour run provided a rainbow of delights this afternoon as girls aged 4 to 18 ran the powder paint gauntlet to raise money to send children to school in Cambodia.

It was in support of UK-based education charity, Edukid and aimed to raise funds to ensure the education of boys and girls at our partner school, Brasat Primary, can continue.

Fewer than half of all children are able to finish primary school in Cambodia and our students raise money every year to ensure that’s not the case at the school it works with.

The event took place in celebration of the International Day of the Girl.

Headmistress, Mrs Sarah Matthews said: “What an amazing spectacle and such a fabulous way for the girls to have fun with their friends whilst raising money! Without our annual fundraising efforts, Brasat would simply not be able to educate all of its pupils and some of the children would join many others in Cambodia who never have the opportunity to complete their primary school education.”

“As members of a global community, I believe it is important that our students develop an awareness and understanding of how different things are for young people in some other parts of the world so I hope they’ve had a fantastic time secure in the knowledge that their efforts have made a real difference to a young person’s education.”
