The Academy is open to girls who already have a proven passion for dance and who are keen to advance their existing strong skills. The club will run one day a week (day to be confirmed) from 4pm to 5pm and is open to all girls in senior school.
The Academy is free of charge and anyone interested should go to the main hall at 4pm next Tuesday dressed appropriately to dance. Jason will put the girls through their paces and places in the Academy will be awarded on the strength of this audition. It is NOT necessary to prepare any individual audition pieces.
The Academy will cover a mix of dance styles and is aimed at advanced dancers. We know our girls relish the opportunity to learn dance with different practitioners and the new Academy will complement the many fantastic dance opportunities already available to all girls at the school through ballet lessons with Miss Clare, tap club with Mrs Riordan and dance in PE with Miss Fry.
We are aware that some girls may already be busy with other clubs this term so please know that we very much hope to continue our Academy into the Michaelmas Term when a further audition opportunity would be available.
