There are separate reviews for our Prep and Senior schools and we could not be more proud of what they both say.

Headmistress Sarah Matthews said: “It is an honour to be reviewed by the Good Schools Guide and we are thrilled with how much they loved what they saw when they were with us. The warmth and vibrant atmosphere that we have here at Truro High shone through in every classroom they visited, and in every person they spoke to, and that makes us all very proud.”

The reviews follow a visit to the school last month when Guide staff spent two long days talking to around a hundred pupils, parents and staff and sitting in on a host of different lessons. No area of the school was left untouched with the review team determined to see for itself every aspect of life at Truro High.

The full reviews are available to read on the Good Schools Guide but we are allowed to share with you the following extracts.

About Senior School, the Guide concludes: “This school could not do more for its girls if it tried. They are nurtured, coached and encouraged to achieve their personal best at every step. Academic achievements are a credit to the girls’ work ethic and the boundless enthusiasm and dedication that the teachers put into their pupils. A wonderfully happy haven, a small school full of girls gently encircled with unwavering support to work hard, achieve high and be kind. What more could you ask for?”

The review of our Prep School is equally glowing, concluding: “A warm, nurturing school with an enlightened approach to high level academic achievement. Small classes of smiling, endlessly enthusiastic girls are supported by encouraging teachers, determined to establish a positive, enquiring attitude to learning. Being both physically and socially an integral part of the senior school means pupils enjoy a far bigger range of facilities and extra curricular opportunities. A gem of a school where any little girl would thrive.”
