The sharp-shooting THS sisters were first selected for the GB Elite Laser Run Team last Summer and made impressive international debuts at the European Championships in Germany where Romilly finished 6th in the girls U11 category and Cordie taking an impressive silver in the girls U9.

This week,  the girls joined fellow athletes from around the world in the first ever virtual laser home run organised by UIPM, the World Pentathlon governing body, with the finals streamed live on the organiser’s own TV channel.

Competing against over 40 of the best U11 international laser runners, 10-year-old Romilly claimed a superb bronze for the GB team.

Laser run is a fast-paced urban sport that combines the final two legs of the modern pentathlon – shooting and running. Traditionally the laser run is the final event held at every Olympic Games in honour of Baron Pierre de Coubertin- founder of the modern Olympic games and creator of the sport of modern pentathlon.
