Loughborough has for the last 5 years ranked in the top 5 universities in the UK for Fashion, Textiles, Art and Design in the Guardian University Guide, the Sunday Times Good University Guide and the Complete University Guide. It currently places 2nd in the UK for Art and Design in the Sunday Times Good University Guide and 24th in the world in the prestigious QS World University Rankings.

Its Textiles graduates have exceptional careers prospects with 97% in work or doing further study six months after finishing. Recent destinations include Liberty, Diane Von Furstenberg, Alexander McQueen, Paul Smith, John Galliano and Jimmy Choo.

The 17-year-old’s impressive portfolio has also resulted in offers from Guardian top 10 university for Fashion and Textiles, Nottingham Trent and Leeds University, which is ranked 8th in the UK for research impact in design.

Holly said: “I can’t believe it – it’s such a great feeling. My teacher, Mrs Wieringa has been a huge part of this; she’s amazing and always goes above and beyond to help her students.”

Alongside her studies, Holly has undertaken a wealth of professional qualifications and leadership projects during her time in the school’s Sixth Form.  She has earned the Gold Arts award, trained as a lifeguard and undertaken educational aid work in Cambodia, to name but a few.
