Justine’s win comes hot on the heels of her debut at the European CrossFit Championship qualifiers which saw the 18-year-old ranked in the top 20 athletes in the UK. In a field which featured 120 top UK female athletes aged from 18 – 35, Justine was the youngest competitor to take part.

She is now busy training for another countywide competition in April and preparing for next winter’s European CrossFit Championship.

A form of high-intensity interval training, CrossFit is a strength and conditioning workout that often features variations of squats, push-ups, and weight lifting that last for predetermined amounts of time to help build muscles.

This summer will also see Justine train to become a Level 1 CrossFit coach – a qualification that she plans to use as she takes a gap year travelling through Russia, France and Spain to become fluent in all three languages. Having conquered Everest last year, she also plans to reach the summit of Okanagan Mountain in Canada during her gap year.

It’s all driving towards her ultimate goals of competing in the World CrossFit Games and training at Sandhurst to work in military intelligence.

Justine currently trains for 2 to 3 hours six days a week balancing her training schedule alongside her studies. She is currently applying to read Slavonic languages at university in Paris.
