Staged as part of the school’s ‘Future Ready Programme’, sessions on offer ranged from managing your accounts and planning leadership projects to creating a feast for under a fiver and staying safe on a night out.

Part of the school’s comprehensive PSHE and enrichment programme, the day saw students building their confidence in essential life skills including financial planning, job applications and consent alongside specially trained guest speakers.

Students were also tasked to plan leadership projects and charity work to prepare themselves for the world of work and support their applications to university and beyond.

Headmistress Mrs Sarah Matthews said: “In a 21st century education, we must value the knowledge that students gain but also acknowledge that school is so much more than that. We need to equip girls with the life skills and resilience to thrive both at school and beyond its gates.”

“If we want our students to have the best start in their adult life, we must pay attention to their personal development as well as their academic fulfilment. It’s all about preparing them for the future and whatever challenges may come their way with confidence!”

The day was staged as part of the school’s ‘Future Ready Programme’ which offers girls of all ages the chance to develop new skills, increase their business acumen and best prepare them to make informed choices in the future.
